Fundamental Study on Combustion Characteristics of Bio-briquette as Alternative Fuels for Domestic Coffee Stove

Abstract The aim of this study is to perform the effect coffee waste blended in bio-briquette as an alternative fuel for domestic stove. sample were with a variation composition waste, coal and polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) glue binder. was introduced electric furnace combustion atmosphere by using 20% excess air condition. In experiment, mass reduction fraction, rate, flame temperature burning bio-briquettes elucidated. results obtained shows there are influenced decreasing increasing blends, where more wastes added causes faster fraction bio-briquette. rate (K) increases percentage largest K 6.05 (1 / second) 90% while smallest 4.55 30% waste. highest occurs mixture which equal 580 ° C lowest fire that 410 C.
